Trouble Shooting Tips 1. Power Cycle your router. This means to electrically unplug, wait 10 seconds and plug back in. The router will take a few minutes to reboot. Do not touch the reset button, as this resets the router back to factory settings. Routers are susceptible to interference and power cycling is just like rebooting a computer, to clear any issues. 2. Power cycle the Motorola power supply. Electrically unplug the black Motorola power supply and wait for the green light to disappear (this can take up to 30 seconds). Plug it back in. It can take up to 5 minutes for the outdoor Canopy module to re-register with our tower. Please refer to the connection digram. 2. By-pass your router. This will determine if your router is at issue or the Canopy equipment. You are connected to the Internet with a static IP address. In order to have a direct connection (bypassing the router, please refer tot the connection diagram) you will need to input the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and preferred DNS server, into your Local Area Connection (LAN). To access your LAN, please follow the instructions below for your operating system. If you have XP as your operating system: View Images If you have Vista as your operating system: |
